Senior Centers in Northeast Arkansas
East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging (EAAAA) partners with 22 senior centers in Northeast Arkansas. Senior Centers offer a variety of services focusing primarily on four service areas: Congregate Meals, Home Delivered Meals, Socialization and Transportation.
Senior centers provide an avenue for individuals 60+ to gather, have a healthy meal, participate in many activities, trips, and programs. Participants can also take advantage of the transportation services from the senior center which will pick clients up at their home and bring them to the senior center, take clients shopping, pay bills and take to medical appointments.
Arkansas ranks very high in food insecurity among older adults. EAAAA along with the local senior centers, provide monthly commodities to help those who struggle with food. The commodity programs is only for senior adults who meet a specific income guidelines. The program is available to any senior adult within the senior center community.
How to Participate
There is no fee in order to participate in the senior center programs. To be eligible to participate, one must meet the following criteria:
- 60+ years of age
- Spouse of a person 60+ years of age
- Resident of the State of Arkansas

- 60+ years of age
- Spouse of a person 60+ years of age
- Resident of the State of Arkansas
- Participant MUST be home bound
